Wet n Wild - Burgundy Frost

Hello everyone!

And Merry Christmas! I whish you all the best.
Today I have the beautiful Burgundy Frost (E412A) from Wet n Wild to share with you. I've been using it for some manicures in the past as in my Santa Claus Tutorial
The formula of this polish was very good and easy to apply. It was opaque in one coat, but the colour was richer and darker in two coats. You can see the difference in the pictures below as I only put on one coat on my ringfinger and two on all the others.
For these swatches I used essence all in one as a base and no topcoat.

Outdoors no flash.

Can you see the difference between my ringfinger and the others?
It is just a bit more pale.

I really love this burgundy red and the glossy finish it dried to. Even without any topcoat it was very shiny. This is the perfect Christmas red!

Christmas Ornament & Holly Leaves

Hi everybody!

Today I have another Christmas themed manicure for you.
I put a layer of BarryM nude on my nails and applied some essence - go bold (140) to the upper 3rd of my nails. On my left ringfinger I painted something like a Christmas ornament using Maybelline - Cherry Diamonds (515) and Catrice - Hyde in the Park. I also put on a golden rhinestone and topped it all of with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

On my right ringfinger I put on 3 red rhinestones as berries and created holly leaves with my dotting tool.

I really like both designs, but I would definetely do the Holly Leaves again!

essence - circus confetti

Hi again everybody!

This is my second post for today, but since my first one was missing the christmas spirit, I wanted to show you something sparkly! The essence special effect topper circus confetti is a fabulous 3D glitter polish. It contains silver microglitter and small and medium sized hexes in all the colours of the rainbow and more. Let's get right to the pictures:

This is one coat of circus confetti on my plain nail. You can see the glitter density best this way.
I then added a 2nd coat to show you all the wonderful colours.
Like many glitter topcoats the jelly base is more on the thick side, but application is easy. It takes a little while to dry, because the layers are not as thin as usual nailpolish would be. This topper dries to a gritty finish, but with a generouse layer of topcoat (I preferre Seche Vite) it smoothens out.

I also layered this topper over some different polishes to see it's full beauty.
First I have two coats of circus confetti over one coat of Purple Charism
Indoors:

And outdoors:

Then I layered CC over Chicago Champagne Toast. I only used one coat plus some dabbing here. And on my ringfinger I had a golden glitter accent nail before I did this manicure. It looks more dense than the others.

I also used circus confetti as an accent over Catrice - Hyde in the Park, that I will show you after Christmas.

And over Sinful Colors - Dancing Nails.

I really love it!

Sally Hansen - Go Bananas

Hi everybody!

How are you guys doing? Hope you had a great weekend!
Today I have a gorgeous Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polish to share with you. The colour is called Go Bananas (845) and is not really appropriate for the season, but first it was a gift from my aunt and I wanted to try it out and second who cares? :-D
As you'd expect Go Bananas is a yellow colour, but there is much more to it. I really love the beautiful pearly silver shimmer. It makes the polish special. The formula of this polish is very good, but a little bit thin. It is a sheer creme polish. I applied three coats of Go Bananas and my VNL was still shining through.
For the pictures below I did not use base or top coat.
Indoors. LED lighting.

In the pictures it seems to be opaque, but I was not quite happy with the result.
I then cleaned up one of my fingers and put on a white base to make the colour pop out a bit better.
I used two coats of Wet n Wild - French White Crème (E449C).

Then I put on two coats of Go Bananas and really liked the result. The colour was just brighter and there was absolutely no more VNL.

In the left picture you can see, that the ringfinger is brighter. In the right one you can see the difference in opacity. The middelfinger shows quite a bit VNL - the ringfinger is perfectly opaque.
Indoors with flash. Too bad that the shadow is on my ringfinger.
I think you can still see the difference the white base made though.
I think this is a gorgeous colour but I'm not sure it goes with my very pale skintone. I'll give it another try with a tan in the summer or use it for designs.

What do you think about Go Bananas?

OPI - Krème de la Kremlin

Good morning everybody!

I really am happy to have this post ready for you guys today! It was an odyssey.
I painted my nails in the afternoon and took some pictures in the evening and again in the morning. As I was going to upload them to my computer I realized that the memorycard was still in my card reading slot and not in the camera. Boy was I startled. As you might have guessed this was after I've taken the polish off. :-O
But fortunately my camera has an internal storage for a few pictures. Puhh! I then tried to get those on my computer and looked pretty stupid, when they where nowhere to be found. Thank god for my fiancé. He downloaded a software that could read that cameras brains out! And here we are now... :-D
I proudly present you todays star: OPI - Krème de la Kremlin. Let's dive right in to the pictures, shall we? These where taken indoors at night with artifical light and a flash. I applied two coats of Kréme de la Kremlin over basecoat.

I was very pleased with the great formula of this polish. There was hardly any cleanup not even on my right hand... (Am I getting better at this or what? :-D)
It was opaque in two coats and dried to a glossy finish. It took a little longer than I expected though. I did not apply any topcoat wich clearly was a mistake because I smudged all of my nails during the night. Well, smudged isn't the right word. They just looked kind of wrinkly.
I took some daylight pictures regardless of my nailcondition.
Indoors with flash
Outdoors with flash (sorry about that shadow. I haven't got another closeup shot.)
Outdoors without a flash
And one more with flash.
As you can see in these pictures the colour looks totally different in other lighting so I find it hard to describe the colour. At night I would have said its a rosy brown but in daylight it's more like an antique pink. I will definitely give thisone another shot with some topcoat on!

How do you like this polish? Are you a fan of OPI?
