Blue Glitter Gradient Nails

Hi everyone!

I recently developed an obsession with nailpolish. After reading a couple of blogs that I really loved I thought, why not do it myself.

So here it comes - my first post:

Today I was in the mood for blue nailpolish so I put on some Maybelline New York Forever Strong Pro Nailpolish - Midnight Blue (650) over one coat of Maybelline Jade Transparent Base.
It is a dark blue cremepolish with a very nice shimmer and it went on very smooth. It would have been opaque in one coat, but I decided to put on a second because it brought out the shimmer better.
Here you can see the beautyful shimmer in the bottle
In this one the colour of the nails was captured better.
I really like this polish on its own, but since I wanted to do a glitter gradient mani, I had to go on.
With a layer of the gorgeouse Wet n Wild - Blue Moon (E466) I achieved the colour I was looking for.
Do you see the hint of green this added?

Unfortunately the camera could not capture the full beauty of this colour.
Blue Moon has a great consistency and went on without any problems. It added a slight green touch to the blue and I bet is just great on its own wich I will definetly try in the future.

I then added two coats of Wet n Wild - Kaleidoscope (E460D) to the upper half of my nails and then two coats of BeYu - Sparkling Topcoat (15).

This one is kind of blurry, but I think you can see the reflections better this way.

Can you see all these pretty sparkles?
Kaleidoscope has a transparant base with small hexagonal glitter in it. It reflects in all colours of the rainbow. So does the sparkling top coat from BeYu but it has even smaller hexes in it and also some larger ones.
I topped it of with two thin layers of Seche Vite quick dry topcoat.

I really like the way this manicure turned out.
