Hello Sweeties!

June is almost over and so I want to show you my favourite manicures that I did in the past 30 days. My goal for this month was to try out some new techniques and manicure types. And I did! I tried Saran Wrap, Skittle Manicures, a Pond Manicure, homemade decals and many more. This month it was really hard for me to choose my four favourites, but finally I came up with this:

Sponged Rainbow (June 4th):

Galaxy Nails (June 9th):

 French Zebra Tips (June 11th):

Minions (June 14th):
Wich were your favourites this month?

Birthday Party Balloon Nails

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you had a great weekend! Lets start this day with a fun manicure I created last week for my finceés nephews birthday party. He turned two so I wanted to do something fun. And who doesn't like Balloons?
For this manicure I used a basecoat, one layer of NYX - White and then sponged on a gradient in blue and white using essence - let's get lost (128) and Mountain Calling - 01 TODAY IS FUNDAY (LE) and give me nude, baby! (152) as well as NXY - White.
I then added a layer of essence - bejeweled (12) a holo jewel glitter polish with a soft bluish purple shimmer and a few translucent iridescent hexes in different sizes in it. I then sealed it in with Seche Vite to protect it and to give the manicure dome depth wich makes the balloons look like they are floating in the sky.

To make the balloons I used a dottingtool and added an oval dot of each colour to my nail with a little triangle at the bottom. Using black bolish and a fine nail art brush I encircled the balloons to make them stand out better, added a little line inside and a string. On my thumb I additionally added white underneath the colour so the yellow gets good coverage. It was also easier to choose the position of the small balloons without having to think about the colours.
And here is everything you need for this manicure. A make-up sponge, a dottong tool, a nail art brush, a cleanup brush and an orange stick. Black and white polish, blue polish and a shimmery glitter topper and an assortment of your favourite colours for the balloons as well as base and topcoat.
The colours I used for my design are Wet 'n Wild - Sunny Side Up, esence - juicy love (187), let's get lost (128), free hugs and beijos de brazil (170).
The last step was to seal it in with Seche Vite again to protect my carefully painted design.
I really love, that this manicure turned out exactly the way I planned it. The balloons look like they are floating in the sky and the gradient gives you the feeling of soft white clourd and a blue sky above. The pearly glitter totally fits and brings everything together.
Without the balloons on top the shimmering gradient would also make a wonderful winter manicure. it reminds me a bit of falling snow. You could paint or stamp some snowflakes on et voilà you have a gorgeous snow themed manicure.

I hope you like this cute design. The birthday boy did and so did his sister. They wanted to touch them all the time and asked: Why are there balloons on your nails? :-D I said: What is a party without balloons?

Catrice - Crushed Crystals - Oyster & Champagne

Hello Beauties!

Finally it is Saturday again! Today I want to show you a quick manicure using catrice - Crushed Crystals - 04 Oyster & Champagne.
As a base for this manicure I used two coats of LOVEnder and then I added one layer of Oyster & Champagne.

Oyster & Champagne is a rosy glitter polish with a textured finish. It is from the Crushed Crystels line, wich has fine crystals in it that look like diamond dust on the nail and give the polish its sand-like gritty finish.
The glitter to base ratio is also pretty good. I was totally satisfied with only one coat of Oyster & Champagne. I really love the combination of the diamond crystaly, the tiny rosy glitter and the medium sized hexes.
And look how shiny it is in direct sunlight! Love it!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend planed or just enjoy yourself at home.

How do you like this combination? Do you like the grey and rosy glitter together?

Maybelline - Rose Poudre & Easy Tape Manicure

Hello Sweeties!

Happy Friday! Today I want to show you an easy way to get fancy manicures using sticky tape and a pair of scissors. Before I do let me show you Maybelline Forever Strong - Rose Poudre (130) wich I used as my base colour.

Rose Poudre is a pinkish nude polish with an amazing formula. It dries quickly and is easy to apply due to the flat brush. It is opaque in two coats and can be worn on its own or would make a wonderful base for a french manicure. In that case one coat would be enough.

Once my polish was perfectly dry, I used some sticky tape and some scissors with a serrated blade to cut it in half. I then put it on the back of my hand to take of some of the stickiness before applying it to my nails.

You can apply them any way you like, but for my mynicure I decided to use them like shown above. I then painted over one side of my nails with Max Factor - Diva Coral. I used two coats and removed the tape carefully immediately after applying the second layer.

With a dottingtool I added some polkadots along the waves, applied some topcoat to smooth out any edges and I had a fantastic and super easy manicure.

I really love those two colours together!

How do you like todays manicure? Have you ever done a tape mani?

Skittle Pond Mani

Hello Beauties!

I wanted to do a Pond Mani for a while now, but I somehow never did. And after doing the Skittle Mani a few weeks ago, I decided to combine those two and go with a Skittle Pond Manicure.

I actually did a few swatches and manis that day so there is a lot of polish on my table, but for this manicure I used the polishes in the front row. I started with a coat of Maybelline - Marshmallow (19), wich is a pearly white, to ensure good coverage. Then I used some glitter jelly polishes in different colours. I used Yes Love - G13-4, G13-5 and G13-6, Wet 'n Wild 9.0.2.1.Orange and The Gold & The Beautiful in combination with OPI sheer tint I'm Never Amberrassed to make a yellow nail.
After the first coloured coat, I started do make a few large dots with my dotting tool using china glaze - White On White. Once the dots dried, I added another layer of colour. I did that about five or six times until I was satisfied with the coverage and depth. On my pinkie I alternated the gold glitter jelly with the OPI tint. I also used different sized dotting tools to get a mixture of small and big polkadots.

A Pond Manicure is a lot like a Jelly Sandwich, but instead of the glitter you use polkadots between your coloured layers. Easy but time consuming.
At the end I sealed it in with Seche Vite to help it dry faster. You have to be really careful with a manicure like this. Due to the number of layers it is a bit squishy for quite some time.
And here are a few mor pictures to show you my nails from all angles. It was pretty hard to catch the depth of this manicure in a picture.

My favourite nail is the green one, because you can see the different layers best here. But I actually love them all! :-D
I hope you like this manicure as much as I do!

Have you ever done a Pond Manicure? Wich colour is your favourite?

Accent Nails using Tip Guide Stickers

Hello Lovelies!

I am a bit late with posting today, but my morning was incredibly busy. I only want to show you a quick manicure with some French Nail Tip Guides I recently purchased.
Here they are: The pack contains three different patterns. A rounded one, one V-shaped and one with a drop-like tip. I used the V-shaped Tip Guides for this manicure.
I started off with two coats of essie - cocktails & coconuts and let that dry completely. Then I chose two accent nails and placed my stickers on. Using essence the gel nail polish - prince charming I painted over those two nails twice and then quickly removed the stickers again with some tweezers.

To finish it off I applied a layer of Seche Vite, wich leveled out all the edges.
This is such a fun and easy way to do chevrons. You could also use this technique to spice up a day old manicure so it looks different with hardly any effort!

How do you like the combination?
